non-citizens especially illegals are high-risk borrowers based on two factors: the duration of their stay in the country and a potential lack of credit and once they leave the country, there is NO jurisdiction to make them pay the loan back. It's a bad idea.

What Masto is doing is forcing the banks to not reject their loan application based on their immigration status in the country when that alone is a big factor of deciding the risk of the borrower plus she is adding incentives for millions of people around the world to come illegally.
Like I said before hotel industry wants these people to continue to flow into the country anything that makes life better for the illegal immigrant will bring more they support all of that.

The U.S. economy and taxpayer's burden it's a lost more than just about hotels in Vegas. We shall see if her open borders issues is going to lead her to victory. Polls says immigration isn't good for Democrats.

Nevada is all about Gambling and Hotels rest of the state is nothing more then desert. Have you ever been to the state of Nevada? Entire state only has 3.03 million people 90% live in the greater Las Vegas area with only Reno being the next largest city at 268k.

2021 Polling in Nevada show 91% of DEM, 73% independent, 36% of Republicans support a dreamers citizenship.

A higher percentage of Republican voters, 43%, support “parole” legislation offering work permits and deportation protections for those groups.

Majority of Nevada voters just don't agree with you.

This is specific to DACA recipients not just any person that crosses the border. FWIW, DACA recipients were generally eligible for FHA loans prior to 2019, when HUD made a change to ban DACA recipients from FHA eligibility. What this bill does is if someone is in the U.S under DACA status and applying for a mortgage, that can't be used against them if they meet all other borrowing criteria.

The Data For Progress poll of Nevadans found that 91% of Democratic voters, 73% of third party voters and 36% of Republican voters support an earned pathway to citizenship for dreamers. OPEN BORDERS???? cough, bull, cough.

The top issues for the midterms for Latinos in Nevada are:
1) Inflation / rising cost of living
2) Crime
3) Jobs and the economy
4) Lack of affordable housing / high rents

You can't tackle these things with open borders. Only 29.9% of Nevada are Latinos. That's why the Governor's race and Senator is tilting GOP for 2022.

RCP prediction has the GOP winning the governor's race and Senate's race. Lombardo and Laxalt are favorites to win by RCP.

81 percent of Nevada Latino voters think abortion should be legal

... wide majority of Latino voters in Nevada believe that abortion should be legal even if it goes against their personal beliefs on the issue....The same poll found that only 25 percent believed religious leaders should tell their members which candidates and policies to vote for, and the rest opposed that practice.

But they also believe that should regulated and they don't support unlimited abortions. The bad thing for Democrats is the top 4 things for Latinos in Nevada are:1) Inflation / rising cost of living 2) Crime 3) Jobs and the economy 4) Lack of affordable housing / high rents.

Nevada is becoming an interesting race to watch, IMO.

Turnout will determine almost ever race or at those we usually discuss here.

My guess is only Kemp and Shapiro aren't particularly worried. Mastriano and Abrams are a long shot at best.
