another great statement

DeSantis: "I'm proud of our history. I don't want to teach kids to hate our country. I don't want to teach kids to hate each other — and the way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race."

Right, but he also doesn't want to teach actual facts. So there's that.

Spoken like a real dad with real school age kids.

Your statement is false. DeSantis doesn't want to teach the lies pushed by CRT advocates, like the 1619 Project.

Actual history will be taught, including the "bad" like slavery. What will not and should not be taught is the left's indoctrination program.

-DeSantis has made moves in Florida that fit politics as of right now but could cause some issues if politics moves on in the next 2 years

Overall I thought there was no clear winner, both got what they needed in this debate, Ron will win re-election unless something crazy happens in the next 2 weeks. But I do think this debate shows how difficult a time Ron may have in the Republican President Primary if someone comes at him hard, especially Trump.
Purely a matter of perception. I thought DeSantis had his usual what you see is what you get, usual straight forward presentation. I saw nothing unsettled at all about DeSantis' demeanor. Christ just spouted the same pack of lies ( rehearsed very well) that he always does.

He said that the US was not founded on stolen land.

It literally was, Florida especially was.
