...and you're clearly intelligent and up on all the issues. Hmmmm.... how do you feel about quitting your day job?
Obama should do exactly what he's doing: picking the best advisors. Period. Regardless of color. But if he does need someone "just because he's black" I nominate Tuborg. He'd be more likely to get a job than Al Sharpton!

Ha! I'll second your nomination. In fact, why doesn't Tuborg run? He sounds like he might have some leadership experience...
It would be quite wild if an Obama presidency actually made things worse for the black community.
You know, the potential is there. He'd have a hard time passing legislation that would benefit blacks without hearing the screams of "racism."
I wonder how his presidency would compare to black governors and black mayors?
What is legislation that benefits blacks?
How is it defined? Does the legislation benefit Blacks specifically or seek to remove discriminatory practices that provide for equal treatment of all citizens?

Legislation that seeks to remove discriminatory practices would be one thing -- but then there are also things like programs that help the poor and specific areas of the country.

Been there done that and I have to laugh having been there and the answer is a big NO. Black folk who get along to well with White folk in American put themselves at risk for being a threat to a lot of people on both sides. If you think Sharpton wants Obama to win you are very wrong.

Name a program or piece of legislation that specifically helps black citizens that does not benefit all citizens.
Name a program or piece of legislation designed to help the poor that only helps black citizens or specifically helps black citizens in areas of the country where the poor do not exist, therefore showing favoritism to a specific race geographically at the expense of another.
Whoa hold on don't get defensive. I am Black and started this thread to refute the nonsense in other threads
Hold it right there, Don Quixote.
