I feel like Denzel tonight. Brick by brick, body by body and in this case lies by lies. I gave you the numbers from 1964 to 1994 at the state level. Now lets do the federal side on each state in the south.

State Federal U.S. Senate elections:

Georgia: 1964 to 2002: Georgia sent 11 Democrat U.S. Senators to 2 GOP U.S Senators to D.C
Where is the switch?

Texas: 1964 to 1994: Texas sent 4 Democrat U.S. Senators to 2 GOP
Where is the switch?

Alabama: 1964 to 1994: Alabama sent 6 Democrat Senators to 2 GOP to D.C
Where is the switch?

Arkansas:. 1964 to 1994: Arkansas sent 6 Democrat Senators to 0 GOP to D.C.
Where is the switch?

Mississippi: 1964 to 1988: MS sent 2 Democrat Senators to 1 GOP.
Where is the switch?

Louisiana: 1964 to 2004: LA sent to D.C. 6 Democrat Senators to 0 GOP.
where is the switch?

Florida: 1964 to 1994: FL sent 5 Democrat Senators to 3 GOP.
where is the switch?

South Carolina: 1964 to 1994: SC sent to D.C. 2 Democrat Senators to 1 GOP (Thurmond after he switched parties)
Where is the switch? 1 seat? LOL

North Carolina: 1964 to 1994: NC sent 4 GOP Senators to 3 Democrats.
We have the smoking gun. NC sent 1 more GOP Senator to D.C. than Democrats in 30 years after 1964. Crime Solved.

Oklahoma: 1964 to 1994: OK sent 4 Democrats to 3 GOP to the Senate.
Where is the switch?

Tennessee: 1964 to 1994:TN sent 5 Democrat Senators to 2 GOP.
Where is the switch?

Where is this switch that Democrats talk about so much? It wasn't at the governorship, state house, state senate or U.S. Senators. Where was this made up myth? LOL. Those are the 11 confederate states. So where is the switch.

You mean to tell me the South didn't get the memo about the 1964 Civil Acts for 30 years and all of the sudden found out in 1994 and switched? That is some deep coma. 30 years. LOL.

and last, U.S. House elections from 1964 to 1994 in the deep south:

1964: The House Democrat with a 295 to 140 majority and the South solid Democrat.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1964_U...ives_elections

1966: Dems 248 to 187. South very solid Democrat.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1966_U...ives_elections

1968: Dems 243 to 192. South very solid Democrat
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1968_U...ives_elections

1970: Dems 255 to 180. South very solid Democrat
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1970_U...ives_elections

1972: Dems 242 to 192. South very solid Democrat.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1972_U...ives_elections

1974: Dems 291 to 144. South very solid Democrat.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1974_U...ives_elections

1976: Dems 292 to 143. South very solid Democrat.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_U...ives_elections

1978: Dems 277 to 157 South very solid Democrat.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1978_U...ives_elections

1980: Dems 242 to 191: South very solid Democrat.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980_U...ives_elections

The South was solid Democrat. from 1964 (it was solid since the Civil War) to 1994: See the map from 1994 and see the change in color:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_U...ives_elections

It got more Republican by 1996:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_U...ives_elections

by 2010, the South became very solid Republican:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_U...ives_elections

It was the solid Democrat South that gave the national Democrat party the majority in Congress for 50 years until 1994. The Democrat party got the most votes from the South for Congress and U.S. Senate from 1964 to 1994. The Democrats passed the biggest gun grab in American history in 1994 and kissed goodbye the South. That was the #1 issue in 1994, gun and crime. It wasn't civil rights.

There was NO switch in the South after 1964. Not at the governorship, not at the U.S. Senate, Not at the U.S. House, Not at the stage legislative branches. These are real data for 30 years after 1964 but you hear the Democrat lie over over about a mythical switch that never existed. If they lie about this, what else they lie about.

Stop dividing the nation with lies and putting half the country as evil. I remember 1994 because I voted and was stationed in the South with the military. The switching of the South to the GOP in 1994 was a loooonng list of things for 30 years that has NOTHING to do with voting rights or civil rights or black people. Abortions on demand from 1973 was a start. Taxes. Stronger on Defense, death penalty and tougher on crime.

But the final straw was when President Bill Clinton (A Southern Democrat) and a majority Democrat Congress for 50 years (thanks to the Democrats of the South) passed the biggest gun grab in U.S. history and wanted to pass the biggest socialism healthcare in U.S. history. That's when the South went "This is the line for us, We are switching teams" and turned GOP and it grew from there. Taking guns from the South is like taking a Bible from a Christian. Taking away the cross from the Catholic Church. Like taking away the Gay Pride parade and their colorful flags from the LGBT community. Is not happening.

That's when Democrat Ann Richardson lost the governorship in Texas and lost slowly the Democratic majority in the state until they lost it all by 2002. It was the 2nd amendment #1 issue and other things not civil rights.

That was the change but Democrats keep lying to paint half the country as bigots and racists. What's the purpose? They want to govern in a split nation that hates each other? Once you go that rabbit hole, how do you turn back? You can't.

How do you come up with "Half of the country" Not half as I said before only 66% vote.

I wasn't talking about you but 25 states is half the country. I was talking to the poster that liberals in the forum look up to and repeat a lie that is told over and over. The South never switched from Democrat to Republican because of the Civil Rights Act. It stayed strong Democrat at the roots for 30 years after 1964 and it was a bunch things that led up to the switch and the last straw was a massive gun grab in U.S. history and a national healthcare push in 1994. Those were the top issues in 1994 not Civil Rights. I should know. I was stationed in the South and voted in 1994. I new very well the issues at the time especially the massive gun grab.

A)The poster says that after the Civil Rights in 1964, the South voted for Nixon for the Presidential election like it was for Civil Rights the #1 issue but ignores the history and perspective why.

1) Nixon wasn't a Dixiecrat.
2) Since the Civil War the South didn't trust politicians from the North of either party.(another topic)

3) 1968 the whole Nation was tired of the Vietnam war, Texas LBJ wasn't running and Humbert Humphrey was a continuation of LBJ policies.

4) Add that Humphrey was from way up North Minnesota and Muskie was from way up north in Maine. No connection or appeal to the South. So the only state from the South that he won was Texas because of LBJ. Nixon took 8 Southern states and Democrat Wallace took 5 states in the deep south.

B)Then in 1972, Democrats do the same thing again. Nominated a Northern liberal from South Dakota and a very liberal Shriver (basically a Kennedy) from Maryland for VP with No connection to the South. So the South again votes for Nixon but keeps everything the same solid Democrat.

C)Then in 1976, Democrat Jimmy Carter runs as a Southern Democrat against Republican Ford from up north Michigan and the South votes for Carter and he carries the whole deep South and keeps everything else solid Democrat. Again, Carter was a solid Democrat but wasn't a Dixiecrat. Get the picture? The South will always vote for a Native Southerner over a Northerner for President every time during that era.

D) Then comes 1980 and even the South couldn't stand Carter for the inflation and incompetence in foreign policy and even less Liberal Mondale from Minnesota. Carter could only carry Georgia (his state) but the South kept everything else solid Democrat.

E) Democrats do it again 1984. Nominated Mondale and Ferraro 2 liberals from Minnesota and New York with ZERO connections in the South and the South re-elects Reagan/Bush but keeps everything in the South solid Democrat.

F) Democrat Party does it again in 1988. Nominated a liberal from Mass Michael Dukakis who is against the death penalty and weak on defense with NO ties to the south against the VP from Texas so the south only voted GOP for President and kept everything else solid Democrat.

G)Then in 1992, All 3 Presidential Candidates were from the south. 2 from Texas and 1 from Arkansas. Clinton and Bush splits the deep south.

H)Then in 1996, 3 Presidential candidates were from the South again. 1 from Texas, 1 from Kansas and 1 from Arkansas. Dole and Clinton splits the deep south again .

See a pattern just on Presidential races from 1964 to 1996?. The South didn't vote GOP for the Presidential race and kept everything else solid Democrat because of Civil Rights. It was because of weak Democrat candidates from the north with no appeal to the south.

What does this have to do with Trump not winning in 2024?

Not when Wikipedia uses U.S. Government election data (easy to verify the link source) . I thought it would be easier to see colorful maps to understand the exposure of a lie with evidence but you are saying the own government election data for 60 years is not credible. ok

Let's leave the lie that the South turned GOP after 1964 and ignore government election data and just go by myths.

You can vote for who you like in 2024. Stay home, vote for Biden or write your own name. That wasn't what my posts were about. Corruption has existed in the U.S. government since the 13 colonies. If that's your deal breaker then you should never vote again ever. The U.S. was never or is or will be a corrupt free nation.

in 2016 the thought of Trump wining, was treated as humor. by the media and both sides of the aisle.

So one swamp creature from the repub side says it is so, it must be so...right?
