Seems to me that where we are headed, socially, is not all that different from medieval Europe. You had the kings and clergy, who were in power and educated to the highest levels of the times. Then you had everyone else (basically the serf class), who were illiterate, ill-educated, and clueless--thus easily controlled. And that is exactly the way the kings and clergy of the time wanted it. They molded society to be that way.
And here we are going right back to that model. Proof positive of the cyclical nature of history and the lack of ability of our species to learn from past mistakes. The modern left is actually begging for that social model. Of course, they don't see that they are, but they are.

Meet socialism! The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer with no middle class. There has been a war against the middle class for some time as they are not as cooperative as the poor class who has been exploded by the Democratic Party!
I have noticed some of the liberals here have no idea what socialism entails. They envision everything being free to them all paid for by the large corporations. Yeah, think we have no businesses now, try to pull that!
They think many of those countries in Europe are socialist, but they need to research it, as India, North Korea, Algeria, Nepal, Guyana are some examples of that wonderful form of government.
