Abortion
In in the most recent poll, only 17% of people favor a ban on abortion.

As pertaining to this election:
Your citation does not support your allegation!

Like every poll you have to watch the way the question is worded. Years ago I received a telephone poll question something like "which candidate (names of the two candidates) do you think would support a women's right to choose?" This obviously was worded to indicate the pro-life candidate was a fasist boor wanting to take away a precious right.

If a poll is worded something like, "is it important to protect the life of the unborn?" I would suspect the results would be entirely different.

Then there is the whole late term abortion issue -- Americans overwhelmingly disapprove of that procedure.

My citation does support my allegation. Only 17% of Americans wish to see abortion made totally illegal. The questions were pretty straightforward.

0.17% of total abortions use that "late term" procedure. It's most commonly used when aborting due to fetal abnormality.

Why should you care anyway? Only God should have the right to choose whether or not to kill a baby. The right to choose should not be an issue anyway, it is just an excuse to put somebody more liberal in the office. Liberal people in general are very ignorant. History shows that when any society became too liberal, then that society collapsed. There is not a single exception to this rule. Socialism is only proven to fail too. So be careful what you wish for. We are the USA and not Venezuela, Cuba or Russia.

Roe v. Wade ought to be overturned. Let the individual states decide.

On a side note, I always love how people hide behind the "woman's right to choose" slogan. It's about abortion. Unless you also support a woman's right to choose to take drugs, sell her body, smoke in public, leave her seat belt unbuckled in her own car, or any number of other things, then you don't support a woman's right to choose. You support abortion rights. Which is fine. Just say it and stop hiding behind pretty slogans.
It's not just about abortion. A man can make all the same choices you listed above, but a man cannot choose to be pregnant or to have an abortion. It is decidely a woman's issue. And it's a deeply personal, private decision, that should be between the woman and her doctor. If she's in a committed relationship, and the man doesn't pose a threat to her, then she should share that decision with the father of the child. Women have unplanned pregnancies for a range of reasons that go beyond irresponsible sexual behavior, and as pregnancy poses unique health risks, and WILL change her life no matter what, the decision should be strictly hers. People who support choice aren't necessarily advocating abortion, but they are advocating that women are capable of making decisions regarding their own bodies, and that such decisions are private and not subject to review by strangers who have no insight into the woman's life or issues.

That is Constitutionally correct, but unfortunately the 9th and 10th amendments are often ignored.

That doesnt mean is not killing...
