I did. Which is why I thought the sarcasm was pretty apparent, and why I thought my response was entirely reasonable.
To me your response looked like you were saying that I truly believed that black people should only be entertainers and athletes. You responded by talking about all of the other successful black people in politics as if a) the comments I made were thought true (hence a lat of sarcastic recognition) and b) like they offended you and you wanted to bring to light the many levels of black success in government.
To me, that looks like you did not realize it was sarcastic. I apologize for not realizing you were posting that in response to my sarcasm.

No, I was challenging the point behind your sarcasm - the part about "heaven forbid blacks have political aspirants to look up to and see that they can be more than entertainers."
MY point was that Obama as president is pretty good "symbolism".... but.... blacks should be able to point to lots of political success regardless of the one symbolic job that less than 50 people in the history of the country have ever had.

Right, you're challenging the premise of the article, as was the OP. You're in agreement with the OP.
It's called sarcasm. Judging by your low post count you are new to this forum so let me give you a hint (as if the "Equal Opportunity Offender" under my name didn't already)....I AM SARCASTIC!!!!!!!
For one to say that suggest the concept of being biracial is not something you are familiar with. How do you know his mother did not have any Black ancestors? Biracial is just that and to try to assign percentages to it fails to understand that Hannibal contributed a lot to Italian complexion.
