Awww the real question will be when will Obama suggest the government mandate everyone gets a tune up and inflate those tires. :-) That would mean everyone who have to BUY and personal electric air pump. Not everyone would be able to afford it and their for tax dollars and "free" pumps would be required at the home before you drive. WE wouldn't want you driving on bad tire settings just to get air are your local gas station. Just think if everyone had an electric air pump at home all the carbon foot print that would leave. Maybe we would have to offer a 100 million dollar tax reward to a tire company or inventor who offers tires with no air required.

This is stupid and frankly Obama's solutions are just another attempt to inform the "stupid" tax payer of their options. Once we spending billions on the information propoganda then those who dont follow we can tax them to inform them of the tune up and new regulations on tire pressure. Just think when it's all done after everyone is beaten into submission Global Warming will still exist and we will still be using gas and or other forms of transportation that causes more problems and more money. The only solution to any problem is an inventive thinker and those who have solutions because of a free market not from government regulations and Obama suggestions.

Only the issue of off shore drilling. According to Barry if we all inflate our tires we don't need to drill for oil. If we change spark plugs and use energy conserving 5W-30 we can stop importing any foreign oil. His followers remind me of late night tv purchasers of magnetic fuel line gadgets that align fuel molecules by magnetic fields and save us from all new domestic drilling.

It's a beautiful policy! Have hope.

No, that silly notion is distinctly yours. Drilling is fine. Drilling offshore is a gimmick, and we have bigger eggs to fry. Obama + analogy = whoooooooshhhh to neo cons.

I'm going to start calling this McCain ideology: The Collective Dumb Energy Policy. It's innate simplicity (i.e. more offshore; fix oil crisis) is commensurate with the Collective Dumb War Movement (i.e. deaths are down [from insane highs]; Iraq is a success).

You people are a hoot! When do we invade Iran for dumping the USD in favor of a more reliable currency: the Euro. All under the guise of more WMDs... that gag never seems to get old!
