What is going to happen next? The Palin speech seems to have excited a lot of people but I do not see how they are going to be able to keep the momentum going. Mc Cain's speech was mediocre, boring and he failed to address any issue of importance. Will the Mc Cain campaign focus on attacking Obama until November? I do not see how Palin will continue to excite people until November.

What's going to happen next? Everyone is gonna bicker back and forth about what color the carpet and drapes are wherever Barack and John go.

I really feel like McCain last night erased a lot of the Palin momentum. It was a nice reminder (nice because I support his opponent) that the republican presidential candidate may actually be worse then Dubya, if possible.

What's next is a sprint to the finish line. McCain's concession, errrrrrrrr, acceptance speech was the beginning of that sprint.

The mainstream media--and pretty much the rest of America--will soon ignore the Pit Bull Hockey Mom, because she's nothing more than a gimmick.

McCain will have no answer to Obama's grasp of the issues and solutions thereto. Remember, the "experience" argument is now moot.

Obama will have to artfully reach out and try to get the redneck vote that McCain and Barracuda have so obviously settled for. Good luck with that, Barack.

All in all, Obama has to educate a relative handful of people who would much prefer to remain blissfully ignorant about seriously crucial issues. McCain simply needs to convince them that it's OK to remain ignorant, as long as they remain proud Americans.

The VP debate is next. Can't wait. No scripts in this one unless McCain and Co get their hands on questions..... Did that really happen?

Yeah, I wonder if there are more redneck votes, because McCain has to write off getting that ghetto vote that Obama shored up easily because of um... the issues... yeah... the issues.

Hm... was that jealousy I detected here? What about the overwhelmingly middle-age white men (and their wives) that we all saw dominating the RNC in St. Paul? Those people vote for McCain because of um... the issues.. yeah.. the issues

Well, for one, Obama lost another ~15% of his lead, going from an RCP average of 4.4 to now 3.8 this morning.

This could get ugly for Obama

And it's a good bet that those folks are middle and working class; the kinds of people that are so negatively affected by McCain's economic policies (or lack thereof).

Makes you wonder why they'd vote against their own economic best interests.

Don't worry, blacks historically, are the least motivated voters. They'll choose Oprah or BET over getting out to vote. I'm not worried.
