German unemployment slips lower, gov't says (broken link)
Maybe so, but they are not also losing their houses and becoming street people.

They have a safety net over there and the governments work for citizens and not the corporatist wealthy elite.

6.1% is not bad. It was over 7% near the end of Carter's term. Also, the average unemployment rate under G.W. Bush is lower than the average for the '70s, '80s and '90s.

Do you really believe him? Clinton also claimed he would cuts taxes and instead gave us one of the biggest tax hikes in U.S. history.

Bush wasn't the only one at fault for the rising unemployment and downturn in the economy... sure he created EXPENSIVE wars and cut taxes... the socialists in the government also didn't help when they went on a spending spree... I mean the democrats.. Obama is no solution, he wants to spend even more and tax even more... typical commie attitude.. tax until everyone becomes poor and dependent on the government... no thanks..

Also, Obamas tax plan will destroy jobs. He wants 10.00 per hour min wage and will tax small businesses to death.

Obamas tax everything under the sun will be change, it will hit 10% in his first 2 months in office.

But not all European countries. The UK is around 4.5%. France and Gemany are not always good examples of european economics.

Maybe they are not losing their houses and becoming street people because they knew if you sign a loan for interest only at some point in time you gotta pay principal. Maybe they understood that is you make $50,000 a year no matter how hard you try you can't make the numbers work to afford a $400,000 house. Are Americans that naive that they wouldn't think that sooner or later they would have to pay the piper? You can blame crooked lenders, realtors and appraisers for this along with the buyers. That's why our economy tanked. Quit blaming Bush. Noone held a gun to any of the borrowers heads.
