Sarah Palin just said we are not going to bail out another company for their failures.
Great for Sarah. Those of us who pay our bills on time every time do not want to bail out businesses that fail and people who didn't pay their bills to cause these businesses to fail.
No longer can we give hand outs to losers who do not pay their house payments.
Just do people will know this, the businesses that are failing are the same companies that gave losers loans, dont let someone like the moron Obama tell you anything different.
Look at the facts.
No more bailouts, no more freebies, no more handouts.
Lose your house, too damn bad. You should have paid your payments or taken on more jobs, or better yet, you should not have charged up your credit cards and then paid them off with your house in the first place.

Wow. Now the GOP is blaming homeowners who may have lost jobs, experienced medical setbacks, or whatever trivial reason for the failure of a major investment bank? That's so awesome.

By the way, Palin is just spouting the talking points she was given. So far, her only skills seem to be memorization and snark.

But bear in mind, the economy is a construct, part of what holds it together is faith. Faith that people will pay their bills, that businesses will make profits, that investments will go up in value. Start playing hardball and knocking out the supports of the economy, and it doesn't just collapse on the people who took advantage of the system, it collapses on us all.

Huh?

You mean the actions of other people affect all of us? The issue is more complex, you are suggesting, than the Palin parrot would have us believe?

Hmm. Let me ponder that one for awhile.

No more excuses. If you did things correctly, medical bills are paid, sick pay is paid for lost work, etc. You shouldn't be buying a house in the first place if you do not have plans in place to cover a medical problem. Lost jobs, sick of that excuse to. There are signs all over the place with help needed.
This bank today failed because people did not pay their bills.

When will the dem party finally force their people to do things right?
I didnt get all those credit cards and then charge them up to refinance my house like these people did.

Sure there is some people who did everything right, but not many of them. So, we can no longer bail those people out. They will never learn to do things right if you keep bailing them out.

Personal responsibility, 4 or 5 jobs, whatever it takes is something the dem party needs to train their people to do.

No more freebies.

So what does McCain say on this? Or, how has McCain voted on this? He is going to be president, right? From my understanding, the Palin is going to be VP.

Nothing is black and white, especiallly the economy. That's why Palin sticks to the talking points and doesn't take any questions. Neither she nor McCain really understand the workings of the economy.

Does Palin even know what Lehmans or Bears Stern do? Lehman's survived the freaking Great Depression but this they couldn't survive. You would think that, of all things, would wake people up out of their usual rhetoric but no.

(insert party name)s ARe EviL!!!!!!!!!!

Chick, you let me know when uneducated people are able to make good financial decisions. Just like those homeowners you blame, Lehman overextended its own credit and is now having to pay the price. Tell me in 3 months how all those people who were making 6 figures at Lehman are going to plan for this and continue paying their mortgages? You realize this means massive layoffs and downsizing. I guess they should have planned. They can always live in a city park.

I guarantee you that a very large percentage of the people in mortgage crisis right now are Republicans. Big spending, social climbing, status seeking elitists that they are. So take your "dems need to train their people . . ." garbage elsewhere.
