Obama was a nobody. He still would be if it weren't for the chicago machine.

This is totally ridiculous. Hell, I could go to Ohio, register, vote, then come back to my state, and vote again. It's supposed to be 1 vote per person....how is this being allowed to happen?????

idontthink so, students should be able to vote when and if attending institutions outside of there home state and who counts x2 votes

You're really out of touch with reality.

Why would they do that when they can vote absentee ballot?

No, they don't. You have a lot to learn.

The driver's license database and voter registration database are not linked in Ohio. You need to study the federal privacy act and state acts regarding the sharing of information between agencies.

What bothers me about the laws alowing you to vote early like this is that you literally could move to another state where you needed only a short time of residency and vote again. I don't care for who you are going to be voting, it would be illegal, and it appears it could be done.

We need election laws to have all elections on the same day for the same time slot and no media reporting until the people in the Pacific Time Zone have closed the polls.

Oh, no she's not. College-age students have the lowest rate of voter participation historically.

See especially Table 1.

I think it varies by area/college. When I was in college I'd say the vast majority were voting in elections. But obviously that's not true at others.

Too bad Richardson's not running. He managed to personally "find" over 5000 votes hidden in an unlocked janitor's closet 8 days after the 2004 election (87% dem). He still couldn't deliver the state to Kerry as promised.

Seriously why would he, he's going to win fair and square.
No such thing, as a "fair and square" election anymore. They are all fixed, in one way, or another.
