Do you pronounce it
tah-co or tacko? Howss or hooz (house)? Car or cah?
Lots of regional accents in the US. My mother is from Canada and as a child I used to heckle her for "weird" pronunciations - she slapped me for it.
I have an indistinct vanilla American accent (as compared to a British or Aussie accent) - you couldn't pinpoint me from a certain area of the US. But when using foreign words I usually take into consideration the originating pronunciation and use it accordingly. It's just a small sign of respect and acknowledgement, in my opinion.
