It is good to see some progress coming to this redneck state. Thanks to all the transplants from NY/NJ, NC is starting to embrace the 21st Century.

But a majority of the resident in North Carolina are White and it is a solid red state. So pray tell how is he winning by your reckoning?

Don't go there. There a lot of long time residents supporting Obama. To call North Carolina redneck is ignorant and not becoming an Obama supporter. Remember North Carolina is the state that gave us John Edwards.

As a North Carolinian, I apologize for that.

I am proud of NC. And yes, as the old entrenched populations are infused with new blood things change and usually for the better for all. The new folks get a bit tempered and the old folks learn about new ideas. Good stuff all around.

I thought about how my vote might be worth more when we moved from CA to CO in 2005. Now CO is looking quite blue! Thousands of Californians have moved here in the past 4 years and Dem. voter registration is way up. LIberals spreading out to other states seems to be working!

You have been completely misinformed. Wherever you have been getting your news, you must make a COMPLETE change or face a life of making nothing but wrong decisions. North Carolina has been nothing but an embarrassment to the progression of this nation since the beginning. Backwards and redneck, the state needs to dig itself out of the dark ages and join the more enlightened regions here in the 21st century. It's time for NC to get off of the bottom. Obama represents a higher standard.

Recap:

McCain, Bush, Podunk Palin, red states, neocons, racists, conservatives, republicans, podunk, GOP, rural conservatives, and southerners still fighting the Civil War are WRONG. Anyone who says differently is WRONG.

That should help you.
