contrary to popular belief, obama isn't a uniter. unless he changes some of his views, he will be hated by at least half the country. he will not unite anything. this country's divide is stronger than I have ever seen it.

Yes, they are doing an outstanding job:

According to STATSIndiana, In 2007, Indianapolis/Marion County had an estimated population of 876,804. Of that number 232,607 were below 18 years of age, for a total of 644,197 people in Marion County/Indianapolis 18 or over and thus eligible to vote. (Indiana allows felons to vote as long as they are not incarcerated).

So we have 644,197 people eligible to be registered in Marion County/Indianapolis, and 677,401 people registered. Congratulations go to Indianapolis for having 105% of its residents registered!

He's already hated by half the country - thank you for admitting that. He could cure cancer, give us the greatest economy we have ever had, end all wars, end all taxes, and personally mow everyone's lawn once a week and there would still be a huge portion of the country that hates him.

I wonder why that is....

He can't unite people that don't want to be united.

Corruption by Democrats.

I foresee corruption all over the USA and lack of patriotism when Obama becomes president.

People are just going to be out there and think of themselves without regard to the country. This is what is happening with ACORN right now.

The U.S. constitution will basically be useless. CORRUPTION/CHEATING will explode in massive proportions when OBAMA becomes president.
From your own post:

I will WRITE-IN MY VOTE FOR Gore/Clinton....
Al Gore for President
Hillary Clinton as Vice President

//www.city-data.com/forum/2008-...vote-gore.html

You have zero credibility.

This is not a really big deal. It's the first Presidential transitions since 9/11 and the Patriot Citizen Rape Act.

Dana Perino of the WhiteHouse say, "an unprecedented effort based on changes we have had in our country,” including the creation of a Department of Homeland Security and the provisions of the Intelligence Reform Act of 2004."

Just greasing the wheels. More than some do, aside from taking the w's off computer keyboards.

Somehow I don't think the divisiveness we see right now is do to Obama's views. But, I would be interested to hear your opinion on which views, specifically, he should change to keep him from being hated by half the country.

Seems smart to me. No matter who wins, there's going to be a transition. So, they might as well get as much done beforehand as possible so the next POTUS can hit the ground running.

Bush's return says it is now time for people in Texas to take one for the team.

I don't think so. Tell me, what's so different between Obama's views and Bill Clinton, Al Gore, or John Kerry's? We didn't see this kind of unbridled rancor toward them. Hmm, what's different this time?
