"More than 30,000 Florida felons who by law should have been stripped of their right to vote remain registered to cast ballots in this presidential battleground state, a Sun Sentinel investigation has found.
Many are faithful voters, with at least 4,900 turning out in past elections.
Another 5,600 are not likely to vote Nov. 4 — they're still in prison.
Of the felons who registered with a party, Democrats outnumber Republicans more than two to one."
"ACORN has also been registering convicted felons — including inmates — in Florida and other battleground states. ACORN boasts registering a record 1.5 million new voters so far this election."
I followed your link and searched for the word "ACORN", but a little beep told me there were no matches found.
I suspect even if you saw it with your own eyes, you wouldn't believe it...

Is ACORN Stealing the Election?
Wed Oct 8, 2008
Well, they don't mention it in the article, but part of the reason why Florida is flooded with som many voter registrations from felons is because ACORN has registered them.
They are currently under investigation in Florida for doing just that:
"In addition, ACORN officials have also been indicted in Wisconsin and Colorado. Investigations against others are active in Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
ACORN has also been registering convicted felons -- including inmates -- in Florida and other battleground states. ACORN boasts registering a record 1.5 million new voters so far this election."
That's not from ACORN...that's from the state of Florida not doing their job purging their rolls and removing the names of felons.
Where there is smoke, there's ACORN.
ACORN is already being investigated in Florida. Registering felons is part of their repetoire... It's no stretch of the imagination to figure they're involved.
But, I can't prove it so if you don't see it the same way you are certainly entitled to your skepticism.

The Acorn thing is an excuse in this case. Elections aren't going on all the time. What is Florida's excuse for not sorting it out between 2004 and now? They had 4 years to do it. My guess is laziness.

Florida definitly has blame in that they did not purge their registration...
Overall, our Election system is flawed and needs an overhaul..
BUT.. I'm not so quick to dismiss ACORN as an excuse. I believe this is a dangerous organization with proven ties to voter fraud, embezzlement and our current economic crisis.
I don't buy that it's some rag tag group of misfits... They know what they're doing and how to get it done. If you're not outraged by fraud in our election system no matter where it comes from then you may as well sit out the vote.
