But, daily people are in viloation of the flag rules (including most elected officials):

The flag should never be used as wearing apparel.
The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature."
"The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever."
If the flag wasnt passing, being raised or lowered you don't have to salute. (If I remember the original clip correctly the national anthem wasn't playing when that was taken)
McCain does make funny faces.......so what? He was corrected on which way to walk in the shot and wow, he made a face. I do that all the time and so do most people I know when they make a mistake.
I'd certainly rather be caught in this type of confusion than in not knowing if I were a Christian or a Muslim.

Doesn't McCain know if he is a Christian or a Muslim? At least we KNOW that Obama is a Christian.
