Blame game: GOP forms circular firing squad - Jonathan Martin and Mike Allen and John F. Harris - Politico.com
A McCain interview published Thursday in the Washington Times sparked the latest and most nasty round of Washington finger-pointing, with senior GOP hands close to President Bush and top congressional aides denouncing the candidate for what they said was an unfocused message and poorly executed campaign.

Wow oh wow, great read about the current infighting in the campaign

Great stuff, saw it tonight on MSNBC. The wheels are coming off more than McCain's Flake Talk Express, now the whole GOP is losing it. They're self-destructing BEFORE the election, they KNOW its over for them.

I don't think McCain is angry but he is being a maverick again.

That McCain would turn around say that Obama would be 8 more years of Bush like policies is freakin hilarious!

McCain has truly lost his mind.

Are people voting for McCain that stupid to believe what McCain is saying???

Default McCain is Bush's Fall Guy

Isn't it ironic that John McCain, the self described maverick and the anti-Bush in the Republican Party (if there ever was one) is now going to take a bullet for George W.Bush? McCain is being set up on the altar as sacrificial lamb to pay for the sins of Bush. Yes indeed, he will be slaughtered on election day in the stead of a man he once opposed. It's a tragedy (or comedy?) of Shakespearean proportions.

I'd say opposing Bush less than 10% of the time hardly sets McCain up as the great 'anti-Bush'

He did nothing to help himself with his VP choice, he'll simply be laying down in the bed he himself made.
