Let me see if I've got this right. You are posting that people earning $25-$50,000 a year are buying I-phones. Then you are saying that these same people are the impoverished. Clue: $25000 isn't below the poverty line. It's not rolling in dough, but it's not poverty line. Apples to oranges.

Well, Obama is well on the road to that. He's already thrown several reporters off the plane because they're not Obamatrons. What? You're not solidly behind me? You support whom? Off with your head!

I'd call that suppression of dissent, wouldn't you?

The attack on Joe the plumber is another example of socialist (oops...democrat/liberal) suppression of dissent. How many people will be intimidated to speak up because they don't want to be subjected to the same kind of treatment?
(Hope Joe runs for political office.)

I fall into the economic class you've specified here, and my cell phone is my phone. Because it's waaaaaay cheaper than a land line. Are you saying that poor people shouldn't have a phone? Not having a phone can be pretty costly in the long run, you know. People not being able to get hold of you in an emergency, people not being able to get hold of you about that job you applied for, etc.

No, I wouldn't. Obama isn't obligated to give them free transportation, is he?
He's told them they can hitch a ride with Biden, if they want. McCain doesn't give free rides in his jet to everyone who asks, either. This is such a non-issue.

Funny, I owe you some reps...

Nonsense.
So he could give them rides as long as they were obamatrons?

I thought so...but wasn't sure! I get so upset about all this "socialist/communist/terrorist/istist" crap! I actually had a friend vote yesterday, for McCain, because he actually believed his friends and church members when they said Obama was all of the above (and then some). He waffled...he wanted to vote Obama...but he gave into fear. To think our country might be controlled by fear...that IS scary.

gosh darnit, THOSE people shouldn't be able to afford no TV!!!
If you are poor, can not afford to pay bills you should not:

1) Have a paid TV service.
2) An internet connection.
3) A cell Phone (unless it is similar to a trac phone with no monthly fees).
4) Any monthly bills that are not absolutely needed for the basics.
5) Going out to eat.
6) Going to or renting movies.
7) Buying anything that isn't the essentials.

When my wife and I hit some hard times, we cut all those services and saved quite a bit of money and it helped us stay on track until we were able to get ahead.

Interesting thing is that many people who complain about hard times and not being able to pay the bills, usually spend money on worthless things like the above. I once listened to a woman complain about how she couldn't afford to take care of her child and yet they had 300 channels on cable, an internet connection they used to play online games, 3 different console units and a large collection of games and movies, they went to see all the block buster movies when they came out, frequented take out food, and had a cell phone themselves and their children.

Sorry, if that's poor, then someone who redefined the word is as stupid as they come.

Where did it say impoverished? It said low income.
