She is the mother who raised him and shaped him. I am sorry she did not live to see her grandson's success tomorrow. But I bet she knows

Yeah, it's an unfortunate thing but from what I hear he didn't make it in time to see his mother when she passed so I'm sure he's glad he got to say his goodbyes.

I'm sure he'll be thinking of her tonight.

Well since entertainment can be viewed as an activity that is diverting (focus off the political side of Barack) AND that holds attention (notice those that chose to respond, whether negatively or not)

why not?
