They brought in an independent.
Timothy Petumenos was sanctioned by the Personnel Board but it isn't quite clear whether he was the only one doing the investigating. It would be interesting to know that; maybe it will come out.

But, if he was the only one doing the investigating, I'm sorry, but I think that the legislative committee has more credibility here than the opinion of an Anchorage trial attorney. If he truly was the only investigator, I hope that there will be questions asked as to why the Personnel Board itself wasn't up to the task; that's what we pay them for.

My posting of the statute, by the way, was to disprove yet another untruth that Ray posted about Alaska. There's enough of those untruths on Google and it gets rather tiresome.

Its always great to see those on the left so open minded about Obama being not guilty in regards to everything, even when his own words convict him, but they are all more willing to convict Palin, even after the report and evidence shows she's not guilty.

Partisan are we? Keep drinking that kool-aid..

Hey, I am voting Obama, but if he were found to have done something wrong by an investigation, I'd hold him responsible for it. There's no official investigations with regard to him.

You're stereotyping.

Do you have a link to this latest report and its evidence?

And furthermore, I'm a Registered Republican voting for Ralph Nader because neither McCain nor Palin have followed the GOP platform of no bailouts, personal liberty, and smaller government.

I think they are so used to twisting the truth to benefit themselves, that they can not fathom that everyone else is not doing the same.

Now I can respect them having questions concerning things. Certainly I had many questions about the first report. The difference is, they are "questioning" things that are irrelevant to the issue and using the very same speculation the first investigator used to "assume" she was in violation of ethics.

I told them this would not hold up in a court of law, that the first investigator did not follow a proper line of reasoning to conclude that finding. Anyone who read the report and was honest using proper logical reasoning could see these assumptions being made.

Like I said, they were never posting to find the facts, they were merely here to throw out as many character attacks as they could at Palin.

The first investigation which found her guilty of ethics violations wasn't just ONE investigator, it was a group comprised of Democrats AND Republicans.....and NOT this latest group comprised of the people SHE hired....

She didn't hire him, the previous admin did.

And the report by the partisan hack found she broke no laws and was well within her rights to fire Monigan. They had to come up with something - so they focused on Todd's involvement, even though he was well within his rights to talk to the relevant authorities about a dangerous individual like the trooper.

As Palin has said, it's right there on the website, if anyone has a problem with police/troopers, they should contact the Safety Officer.
