Virginia had a very easy and generous absentee voting policy, however. You could qualify simply by having a long commute. A lot of people took advantage of it--thanks heavens, considering the lines today.

It would be fun to see Ohio go Red, and some unexpected leans go blue, so next time around we can be berated about an entirely new state as the "bellweather" of all presidencies...like a Georgia or NC. No offense to residents of the Buckeye state, I am simply tired of hearing about ya

Ah, so maybe VA won't be "too close to call" for very long.

I'm so hoping we'll get some postive, solid results for Senator Obama here in Virginia!

I will be curious to see how FL votes. maybe for the first time in 8 years it won't be rigged. I don;t hold much faith in the people here as there were many that voted for that dimwit Bush. Either way I will be glad to see him go. truly the worst president.

Hey, isn't BLUE the official color of Carolina? As a former resident and remembering the Harvey Gant situation I'm hoping for North Carolina too! I do think Libby Dole's ill-fated ad may ultimately contribute to her (and McCain) losing the state. That along with the 'Reconcilation' process they recently went through. NC's ready to elect a man of color!
I'm excited about Virginia too -- (love future senator Mark Warner - and Senator Jim Webb)
