I thing the early returns out of Florida and Virginia could set the tone for the rest of the evening. Obama is expected to win Virginia, but the margin of victory will tell the story for the GOP across the country.

Florida is supposedly a true toss-up going into today's voting. The interesting part there will be how many blacks came out to vote and how many moderates in the suburbs of the major cities are willing to vote Obama.

I bet Michigan will. They're projecting 70% of the 7.5 Million voters here to cast votes this year. Already reporting waits of up to 5 hours.

Thousands line up to cast votes across Michigan - National, Michigan State & Local Elections 2008 News & Polls - MLive.com (http://www.mlive.com/elections/index.ssf/2008/11/thousands_line_up_to_cast_vote.html - broken link)

Michigan is in 2 time zones, so MOST of the polls close at 8PM EST, the Southwest corner at 9PM EST.

I hear the Tampa area is going to be very interesting as an indicator...have seen a Tampa poster yet though...

My vote is Virginia--Obama wins there.

I think Obama may lose Ohio.

Obama wins Florida, Pennsylvania, easily.

I think McCain will barely win NC.

Obama wins the election though. I predict that Obama will get around 300 electoral votes.

I spoke to my family earlier. One location in & out quick, tenth person in line 10Minutes. Another location - tragedy, folks already calling the 1-800 number because everything was such a mess (and this was at open). We have got to be able to get this thing uniform and in some semblance of reasonable order, right?
