You're missing the point. A president who found it inconvenient to serve in the armed forces because they were too busy hating America, could still have an acceptable working relationship with the military the way Clinton did. But I think Obama has another problem that the liberal mind won't be able to understand. McSame, McPain, McBush, Grandpaw McCain or any of the other tags the Obama people used to smear a war hero and contemporary of many of the military people he will be dealing with are still fresh in the minds of these generals. And what is far worse, slandering him and his service as a POW calling him "songbird" and a traitor for breaking under extreme torture while in the Hanoi Hilton will make the air heavy with disgust. Trust me, people in that room will hate Obama's guts for what he did.

I'm glad our military forces are stock full of people better than you.

If you read the original post, the question was in relation to the Pentagon, not Russia.

Like all other things in this world, the officer corps doesn't think with a monolithic mind, and I might point out that there were members of the officer corps past and present who were just as quick to criticize McCain.

PS - Most officers that know or have known are a bit brighter than you average CD poster. What supporters of Obama may or may not have said have no bearing on what Obama said. And, in that regard, Obama was always respectful of McCain's military service, regardless of the questionable things that McCain allowed to be said in his stead.

Umm... Russia and China have lots and lots of nuclear weapons a real, all out war with them would more than likely mean the end of the world.

What century are you from? Our current military wants a leader that will only send them into combat in defense of the nation not to win one of his daddy's beefs. Obama himself never smeared McCain's service to the country, he always praised him despite this proud hero spreading falsehoods about him..The smearing of McCain was done by yours truly and others not Obama so stop lying. Military men and women want to be home with their families not serving as pawns in some presidents family feud or the "master plan" of some warmonger.
