Wow. I am seriously loving this "GOP is dead" rhetoic. It always bounces around when one party loses. I suppose most people here are too young to remember '80, '84 or '88.. You would have thought the end of the world was going to be brought on by flood from the tears of the Democrats.. (or was that the National Convention??)

Not me.
Remember it took Jimmy Carter to get Ronald Reagan.
If you look at the governors races. The republicans have only lost one and their was not incumbent running.
That's nice and colorful, but as of Jan 2009 the Democrats will control 29 of the governorships, Republicans only 21.. Just the fact that you have to tout that, is an example of how bad a shape the GOP currently is in.
moderate religious folk who are not right wing fruitcakes
women who prefer to have reproductive rights
gays and the people who support their equal rights
people who live in cities who have been called un-American
hard working Americans who know how many homes they have and earn <$5mil
I love how you call slaughtering innocent children and throwing them into a meat grinder "reproductive rights".

Let me add to my list that the GOP has also alienated any person who is capable of intelligent thought by spreading rhetoric and nonsense like that quoted above.

You'd prefer illegal, unprotected, back-alley operations and you want to guarantee plenty of third-trimester abortions? Hmmm. That's kind of radical don't you think?
