MANAMA — Defense Secretary Robert Gates warned the United States' enemies on Saturday against trying to take advantage of the early months of the new Washington administration to test U.S. resolve.
Gates also said the United States would stay deeply involved in the Middle East and the Gulf under Barack Obama's administration.

"I can assure you that a change in administration does not alter our fundamental interests, especially in the Middle East," he told a regional security conference in Bahrain.

IMHO, Obama made a very smart decision in maintaining Gates and other who are familiar with this disasterous policy.

If we are truly "tested" with BHO at the helm, I will never forgive him. The dems will be bust by 2010.

LOL funny how winning an election has become an unforgiveable offence. And you will never forgive them no matter what happens over the next eight years, whether we're "tested" or not.

What you have to wander is why it had to be said;almost as if they expect it to happen as Biden said in the campaign.Sounds almost like the skinny guy saying "I know karate'.
