Anyway...on the economy level, i'm sure the whole world is holding its breath and hoping that obama can pull it off...else all of us, not just the US are going to be facing even more job losses etc..
Sad to say though...nothing will change for the Middle East situation as the puppet may change but the puppet master still pulls the strings.
You are correct. Until we tell israel to stick it and solve their own problems, we will be involved in this mess!

Well, there are fewer, now that another boatload of bumbling Republican lawmakers and their staffs have been shipped out of town by the American voter for having been complicit in this late ruination of our country. You want sickening? Look at the past eight years!

So, why aren't you patting him on the back? Shouldn't you at least be like wearing an Obama button or something to show your support of his betrayal of the left? I know I'd have been wearing a Dick Cheney button if he'd been out there in the streets protesting against Bush's plans to invade Iraq...

No, they aren't. What got us into this mess were the usual excesses of laissez-faire free-market capitalism and a lack of responsibility by groups of stunningly naive laissez-faire free-market regulators. That's very diffeent from a stimulus package.

Any particular provision that irks you especially? Got any credible analysis of any provision at all?

THAT would be an example of using the same tactics that got us into this mess as a means for getting us out. You could crank all this supposed Obama-hype up by a factor of ten, and not begin to approach the levels of free market-hype and worship that exist on the right. Free markets are not The Redeemer...free markets are not The Savior...free markets will not take you to The Promised Land. They are what dumped us where we are...

Bush let Israel off the short leash virtually from Day-1 of his administration. Do what you have to do...we'll back you up if you get in any real trouble over it. That plus his sage introduction of the Blessings of Democracy® to the Middle East have worked out really well...

He's built some really big shoes that his really big ego isn't going to be able to fill. The bloom will be off the rose soon enough.

So I'd like to congratulate Obama on his win and enjoy the day because tomorrow the party is over. All the big talk comes to an end it's time to put up or shut up.
