Seems like all of the focus on Michelle during the primary has worked out well for her.
Poll: Positive Feelings For Michelle Obama
A new CBS News/New York Times poll out Sunday finds that Americans feel largely positive towards incoming first lady Michelle Obama – more positive, in fact, than they have about past incoming first ladies.

Forty-six percent of those surveyed say they have a favorable opinion of Michelle Obama, while just seven percent say their opinion is not favorable. An additional 45 percent are undecided or do not have an opinion.

Compare that with first ladies past: Laura Bush had a 30 percent favorable rating when she entered the White House, while Hillary Clinton's favorable rating stood at 38 percent. Barbara Bush's favorable rating at the start of her husband's term was 34 percent, and Nancy Reagan's was 28 percent.

Damn! I thought 46% was a little low - but then the comparison to previous first ladies was interesting.

We have a great first lady (elect), and even the 7% who will shortly show up here in force to insult her can't change that. Everything they bash her for will be pure projection, and will prove that their tiny little hearts and minds are cold and confused.

Classy, I agree. She looked great today at the Sunday performances - I very much liked her coat and simple skirt-sweater outfit. And she seems to have toned up quite a bit and she has a great clothes figure - she's going to be quite an inspiration!

Educated. Mother. Strong. Personable. She is going to represent us well in the world.

A great interview in the New Yorker last week--it was done in 1996. Even then, she seemed mature and steady. I really do like her. I do have the same feelings that I had when the Kennedys entered the White House. I feel positive about our country and about their style and intellect. I hope there is not a Marilyn Monroe waiting in the wings....

I loved Michelle's outfit today. I can't wait to see her inaugural ball gown. She looked great yesterday in the royal blue.

I would have liked for her to have selected clothing from her current wardrobe and given the money she is spending on designer gowns to charity. There are so many Americans who are unemployed and the country is in a bad place economically speaking, that would have really made a positive statement.

From another thread I learned that Roslyn Carter was CRITICIZED for doing just that ! And I wonder which party was doing the criticizing ????

I don't believe the Obama's could do anything right in your eyes.

I would bet my next pay check that the Obama's give plenty to charity.
