what difference does it make ... the 911 operator could have simply asked the caller to describe them, not ask specifically, are they black, hispanic??

Anyway, please show me where there is any mention of race, except when the 911 operator asks the caller if the men are White, Black or Hispanic for identification purposes.

Please show me where a caller reported a burglary in progress, except to say an older neighbor was concerned.

I hope Ms Whalens sues every news source....and the President as well!
(can you do that?)

RAW DATA: Transcript of Cambridge 911 Call - Political News - FOXNews.com

By the way, for me to quote something from Fox is like Huckabee reading from the Qur'an, but it's only a transcript.
I think you are pointing your finger in the wrong direction. The media simply reported what Sgt. Crowley had put in his report. He was the one who suggested robbery and he was the one who noted the 'suspects' as black even though, as your link proves, the caller did not.
He claims that she told him they were black - she says the only verbal exchange they had was her confirmation that she was the 911 caller.

Seems like an awful lot of extrapolation on Sgt. Crowley's part.

In case they fled the scene by the time the cops got there, they'd know who to look for.

Frank Rich sums up the real issues in today's NYT:

I agree with his conclusions.

The first person Sgt Crowley encountered when he arrived on scene was the caller. He questioned her at that time, and she told him they were black.
