The military represents traits that Obama will never have...honor, strength, courage, self sacrifice and deep love of country.

Not only doesn't he possess these traits, he is threatened by them. They are simply foreign
to his "community organizer" mentality. He knows how to lie, bully, evade and put blame on anyone except himself. He and his administration show disdain for this country, showing preferences for the United Nations and "global" economy and courts.

His unprecedented grab for power and emphasis on power centered in the executive branch show that he's more interested in putting forward his own radical and anti-american agenda
than in the best interests of this country.

Obama has no qualities that would make a good military man - he has no qualities that would make him a good president.

If this thread had any more bull***** in it the toilet couldn't flush!!

This country has more nuclear weapons, NBC munitions, and overall conventional and the most advanced weapon systems in the world.

Our largest conventional enemy (Russia) has fallen to the wayside and no other nation presents a land, sea, or air threat to this country.

So people are mad because Obama used his common sense and presidential authority to say, "hey, maybe we could use some of that money domestically to help American citizens" the couch commandos start an up roar!

I've served in two branches of this nation's military and I'm glad he's making prudent choices, I'm glad I no longer have a President with the Bush mentality of "we don't like let's consider pre-emptive strikes", let's start wars based on lies and consider our people in uniform as expendable cannon fodder!

1. You don't throw good money after bad. Defense technology is notoriously overpriced.

2. If he liked the military, he could show it by bringing back all troops from overseas and scuttling the overseas bases we currently have.

Bush was always "sacrificing" soldiers for his pet war. It was one of his favorite buzz words... "Sacrifice." Corporate pawns. No wonder so many of them are losing their minds. : (

He respects the military but does not have the votes in Congress to cross the Militar-Industrial-Congressional cabal that controls so much of our spending. It takes a long time to kill monsters like them. After all the more we attempt to extend our Empire the more money they make. Unfortunately the rest of us cannot afford to keep paying the blackmail they are demanding.

PS - PA - Just being in a combat zone cuses you lose part of your mind, and if you are in combat, a lot of your soul.

I understand the military is wasteful. But his spending is SO lopsided. Why is that?

Wait, I don't get it. First you righties whine about how much you hate the fact he's spending a lot, now you're getting on his case for cutting down? Whatever happened to the true conservative. All it is now is naysayers who are naysayers for the sake of being naysayers.
