...and yet the people still vote them back in office. No wonder they're still poor.

Why didn't you mention Chicago? Perhaps because they haven't elected a Republican mayor since, well, who even knows yet it is one of the most prosperous cities in the world? And here in Houston, we have a Clinton staffer as mayor. The whole damned country is moving here. I don't know why I am even pointing this out. You can easily turn the tables on your thread by pointing out the poorest states have elected Republican governors for many years.

I didn't have to mention anything. This wasn't my remarks but one of many websites.
This thread is about the top 10 poorest cities in America. Not the most prosperous. Of course you can start that thread.

BINGO!!!
Wrong again. Far from the most prosperous. Chicago has been known for many years to be corrupt under Democratic control.

Add in the horrible crime rate in those cities and look over the demographics here on CD and you will see why.
There is only one of those cities that is safe enough to even drive through let alone live in the dumps.
They keep voting them in because they get free Dominos Pizza if they vote 20 times???
The people of these towns do not know any better, uhmmmm
No I am wrong, they know better. A republican would make them EARN their own living unlike a dem who wants to steal from others and hand it to these people.
These people are poor because choice, no other reason.
And the free T-bones from welfare cards must be damn good.

No, actually this thread is about how Democratic leadership creates poverty. It is quite a fair retort to point out how Republicans do the same. And if we are going to go by "what this thread is about", when did you mention it was about corruption?

Do you really thnik that clinton staffer built Houston's economy. If so he didn;'t listen to clinton anti oil and businesss lessons. A democrat in Texas would be consdered a a neo con in most democratic states. Get a clue if you think Teas has doine well by being liberal. Look at where those people are coming from to your city;liberal states by the largest per centage. In fact its been going on for decades and its the whole state really.Houston the liberal bastion is a laugh.

Right. This is how Democratic leadership in the top 10 cities with populations of 250,000 or morehave kept the people in poverty.
Corruption in big cities with Democrats goes hand and hand. Maybe one day the people will wake up, but I doubt it. They keep on drinking the kool-aid.
