Teddy's senate seat was given over to a republican and Caroline Kennedy was denied a US senate seat. So much for a legacy in the minds of the voters.
Maybe they left before they got thrown out but the end result is the same. And they won't be let back in, not by the voters, not by their former allies, not by the party bosses.
