I am an ex-smoker (quit 10 years ago)

The last few days my lungs feel like they did when i was a smoker.

Did they start burning the fields?? I don't see any smoke

We are well south of you, but in Klamath Falls and Medford, we've been having huge problems with the southerly winds bringing up smoke from the forest fires in California - we've had a bunch of health alerts over it.

I read that most of the fires are contained at this point and it should be getting better. I look forward to seeing blue sky again.

I heard the same thing regarding the fires in southern Oregon and northern California... air tends to get a bit trapped in the southern Willamette Valley (where Eugene is...) not to mention the warmer temps also come into play...

We haven't noticed anything in Eugene. My husband (he also quit smoking years ago) usually has respiratory problems when anything blows through, but he's been fine.

According to the paper the air quality is still in the green - "good".

I heard that they passed laws which were supposed to stop the burning of the fields... but that they were still burning them anyway. What's the deal with that?
