1. Large City
2. Close to Ski Resorts
3. Language is no barrier, am open to learning new ones.

Thank you!

Geneva ......

International City with United Nations, other international organizations, European HQs of large US corps., international banking sector.

Most people speak some English and often are comfortable in multiple languages.

In about an hour you can be skiing in the Chamonix area (Flaine, Les Contamines, La Clusaz, Le Carroz, etc.). A couple of hours gets you to resorts like Les Menuires (France), Courmayeur (Italy) or Verbier (Switzerland).

Watersports on the lake.

International airport.

At the centre of Europe. On the French border, one hour to Italy, three hours to Germany, eight hours to Spain (all by car).

First I was going to say Turin, but if you want more upscale, I'd say Geneva.

Dude, it doesn't get more "world class" than Switzerland. Definitely recommend!

I faced a similar choice many years ago and chose based on culture over what was best for career. I did alright in many senses, but not the best in terms of career.

Among the cities you list, career-wise the best bet may be Geneva, unless you are already CEO or something, and of course it also depends on what industry you are in.

Based on my knowledge, experience and impressions, Geneva scores highest in terms of cosmopolitan, world class, and use of languages. From a career-move perspective, then, my best guess is that you should have a very specific cultural and/or niche career interest to choose one of the other three over Geneva.

Good Luck!

Swizrland is extremely expensive. I, on the other hand, would definitely choose Munich! much more convivial than anywhere in Switzerland (Englisher Garten, Oktoberfest, museums, Ludwig II castles, lakes..) and close to the Alps (Garmish-Partenkirchen, world class ski resort , is 1 h away!). Maybe English is not as widespread as in Zürich or Geneva (not sure about that, I believe it's about on a par) but if you have some notions of German, it's much more easy to understand there than in CH, whre the Schwyzerdutsch is (for me at least) an ununderstandable goobledyook (and frankly not very pretty sounding), it could as well be Papuan...
