Which do you prefer?

Which do you think sounds more aesthetically pleasing?

I prefer Scottish. Both can get a bit monotonous, but I just prefer Scottish for some reason.

aesthetically pleasing?

They are both accents which are neither superior nor inferior to other ones.

Really all accents/languages can get monotonous after a while.

Depends on which accent you mean. There are many different Irish and Scottish accents depending on region. Dubliners sound totally different from Corkonians, for example.

well thats not true now , both scottish and irish accents tend to be favoured by a lot of people the world over , im not saying i have a good accent ( the one in my area is pretty unappealing ) but beit sean connery or liam neeson , both accents tend to be seen as attractive

Scottish, Scottish and more Scottish.

Hate the Irish accent absolutely woeful and annoying. Especially the variety who can't say '3' correctly or the letter 'H'. I am sorry but I don't know about you but If I was born down there, I would be trying to make sure that I said those letters and words properly so that people would not laugh at me.

As for the Northern Irish accent, its ok I think its better than the Irish accent but it is a bit bland. Its embarrassing hearing it on TV - especially since english people and their ilk associate us with East-Belfast people and well the majority of us tend not to sound like we are speaking through our noses. My accent believe it or not sounds almost identical to the Wick/North-West Scotland accent.

Indeed. They all speak like that, don't they?

(Was your use of 'then' [as opposed to 'than'] intended to give a hint that your accent is 'RP'?)
