Not sure it's possible to get it through your father, since you're already an adult. But I am not an expert on citizenship law. Just some food for thought.

You might be correct. Does your father have a German passport or just "German blood"?
Either way, if you don't speak German fluently, and I mean fluently, you shouldn't move there. It's very difficult to find a good job without speaking the local language and going to college would be a bitter experience, too.

You have to be able to prove that you have a grandparent or great-grandparent who came from Germany. You have to be able to document that. (Find your ancestor's name on an old ship's log, for example. You can do that on the internet.)
