Of course they are inferior. You must never heard of sprinting, speed ice skating and aerodynamic. How you gonna win a race when you're this hairy ? It just keeps you back. A winner gotta be smooth.
Well... some Italians are reared in a humid environment and fed with hormones that make the hair grow up to 20 cm, then they are sheared six times per year, hairs are used to make pillows and mattresses and other kind of business.
The southern natural hair is obviously more expensive
