Yeah, unfortunately we have alot of ghettos these days. We had 3 areas classified as ghetto areas in the entire country back in 1990 - today that number is close to 200 (186 areas classified as ghetto areas in 2012).

I moved here from Germany over 40 years ago and it was better. And right now in Germany it is not nearly as bad as in the Netherlands but it is starting to spread there too.
Those pictures are not from the Netherlands although one of those pictures looks like one of the Bijlmer flats before it gets demolished. Nice try though. I suggest you have a look in the Michigan, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland or New Jersey forums, plenty of ghettos there.

ghettos have ALWAYS existed, why? because humanity is hierarchical and the ones on the bottom always were condemned to live in ghettos..... even in the earliest cities in recorded history you had ghettos

in Europe for example castles and palaces where royals lived, were surrounded by slums filled with peasants and so on.

the netherlands has ghettos, go to rotterdam you'll see them (but the problem is that you want to americanize the meaning ghetto by making it sound as if the ghettos in Europe are violent places full of gangs and drugs interchangeable with violent American ghettos)

European ghetto crime = graffiti, and someone offering you pot on the street

American ghetto crime = gangs killing each other over territory, drive by shootings, police raids, virulent racism, drugs tons of them and so on.

I wouldn't live in an American ghetto, In a European ghetto I'd feel better at least I have a beautiful city at my disposal once I get out of the ghetto part of the city, while in the US if you're in the ghetto where are u gonna go? everything else is far or expensive or out of reach for you.
