Germans have a tendency to target and demonize people, call them Turks, gastarbeiter, muslims, Jews, Ossies, etc.
Is it a historical trend or a leftover of the 20's, 30's and 40's? I don't know.

Which leads me to: Allegedly terror attacks have been planned targeted at Pegida. Considering that a big part of the Pegida follwers do not even have "islamisation" as a top priority, I find that rather interesting.

Germans were homogeneized beyond description during their unification, prussification and militarization period that later led to addie. Later, ddr suffered the worst communist dictatorship that marked that part of the country.

The problem with PEGIDA is that its stated objective is only a front for its racism. The average PEGIDA member dislikes Indians, Jews, Kurds, Chinese and non-Muslim Africans, none of whom have anything to do with the problems in Germany.
I feel sorry for the Jews in Europe, who are caught between right-wing fanatics and Islamic extremists. The same goes for the immigrant groups I mentioned above. These are all hard-working people who want to live peacefully, exactly the opposite of what right-wing fanatics and Islamic extremists desire.
