the article mentions the peaceful/softer parts of eastern europe (czech republic, latvia, poland). Though I guess they will soon also send to the rest: bulgaria, serbia, hungary etc. But whatever they do - the US will always strike me as a McDonalds/mtv culture that can't win even against north korea or vietnam...let alone vs russia.

by the way:
(your next post will be number 666 so elect the word wisely... .

Reading some crystal ball ?
Anyway this number can be viewed differently depending on where you stand.
" In the Bible, 666 is the number of talents of gold Solomon collected each year (see 1 Kings 10:14, 2 Chronicles 9:13 ad also in Ezra\2:13 "

To quote Ariete: "the point is?" - this is how 99% of the world's population feels probably.

Placing military vehicles in some random country far from russia means nothing. not to mention that the current cold war won't turn into a full scale war and...nobody wants to partake in the nostalgia americans and russians have towards the cold war.

That's like talking about Italy's relation with Hungary today just because the huns invaded the roman empire 2000 years ago. It's already part of history.

Each of those hosts U.S. black sites for torture. Pretty much all of East Europe does. Peaceful is as peaceful does, I guess.

Unfortunately History is like a hydra with several lives. It comes back alive every time we think it is dead.

And where were your countrymen when mine were fighting and dying all across NW Europe in 1944/45? Let me guess, they were collaborating with the Nazis?

How many casualties did your country suffer at Omaha Beach?
