the article mentions the peaceful/softer parts of eastern europe (czech republic, latvia, poland). Though I guess they will soon also send to the rest: bulgaria, serbia, hungary etc. But whatever they do - the US will always strike me as a McDonalds/mtv culture that can't win even against north korea or vietnam...let alone vs russia.

Placing military vehicles in some random country far from russia means nothing. not to mention that the current cold war won't turn into a full scale war and...nobody wants to partake in the nostalgia americans and russians have towards the cold war.
