It's a close call. But I still pick Denmark. Been 2 times and enjoyed it.

I would prefere Denmark as it is the closest to (the rest of) Europe. Iceland is a bit too isolated and distant one, Finland is somewhere in between of them.
And indeed, Denmark is somewhat similar to the Netherland´s, even the languages are.

In order, and what I would find most interesting about each:

Denmark for culture, agriculture/food, sailing

Iceland for stark terrain, history (Viking sagas and all that)

Finland for endless forests and lakes. Sami culture.

But of course you'd say that. Sigh

Out of the three I'd probably pick Finland, since is it doesn't seem to be as flat as Denmark, nor isolated as Iceland. Plus it has some very interesting neighbors.

Danish and Swedish cities are nice, but I would choose Norway as the country scale.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Finland has no Sami culture. I don't even know what that is. There's more Turkish people living here than Sami. If you want Sami culture, choose Norway.

Finland has almost 10,000 Sami people. I was not trying to suggest that Finland was the epicenter of Sami culture, but without the Sami, lakes, and vodka, what else has Finland got? Finns? No thanks!
