I don't think anyone is trying to make Hungary accept these refugees. They are only trying to pass thru Hungary. Not trying to stay there! Hungary is simply on the way to Germany and Austria, where most of these refugees are seeking asylum.

They are most definitely not refugees. We already know this from Germany's own data. 70% of migrants are from stable countries. Around half of migrants to Germany are from Eastern Europe. Syrians are around 20-25% of the migrants, and under international law are supposed to register for refugee status in the first stable country they enter (which would be Turkey).

Very true, but Hungary does not want to get stuck holding the bag:

- With the exception of Greece, all migrants must be registered and allowed to apply for asylum in the country they first enter.

- If they are not, then they can be refused entry by the next country.

- Thus, Austria can decide to refuse entry to any migrant originating in Hungary. This would create a bottle neck resulting in hundreds of thousands of migrants in Hungary. Needless to say, Hungary cant afford this.

Also Germany is making confusing announcements: First they announce that they will take all Syrians. This triggered a stampede. They then open their borders- but close them three days later (creating a potential bottle neck in Hungary). They then say that they can take 500,000 migrants a year for years. This triggers another stampede. Now, they say they were only speaking in the hypothetical sense.... .
