I have been to a number of Greek islands on holiday. I am going to one this coming Friday for two weeks. Our favourite is Rhodes, which we have visited many times. All the islands are similar with friendly people, and good food.

I thought Skopelos was the most scenic. Green. The town of Skopelos is most picturesque scrambling up a hill from the harbor. Most of Mamma Mia, the movie, was filmed on Skopelos.

I've been there quite a few times, before Mamma Mia. We'll go back. It's far away from the refugee flood.

Syrians think that they are all fine to visit, but none want to live there.

But I'm sure they find the food better than what is served in Finland.

I love the island of Rhodes. Great beaches, great food, historical sights, snorkeling, diving, shopping, night clubs, great tasting local water, crystal clear water at the beach. Been there several times back in the 1990s. I'm older now and less likely to enjoy the beaches but I'd still love to return for the food, snorkeling, and taking time to get to know the locals.

All Greek islands I have visited looked similar, except Santorini. But no, I would like to live there... too small :-)
