In this moment i'm here in italy and i've seen that all italians think that theur country is famous in all the world for being a beautiful country full of art, culture, history and beauty.Well,i've always known that but that's because i study art since i was a child. But my question is:is true that everyone when thinks about italy thinks this, that ordinary people associates the country with art, history, beauty and culture?
I think so, at least by people with a little bit of education. That's probably the biggest reason Italy gets almost 50,000,000 tourists visiting annually.

You forgot to mention that Italy also has some of the best beaches, skiing, and geography in Europe sitting in the middle of the Mediterranean. Italy is also blessed with some of the most diverse climate from the snowy Alps to the almost tropical climate of the south.
Italy is 301,000 km^2 and it has more UNESCO sites and artworks than China which is 9,000,000 km^2 and has an almost continuous 5,000 years old civilisation.
I live in a small city with 2,500 inhabitants and there is a church dating back to XII century.
Italy has more art, culture and history than any other country in the world, I think that only Egypt, China (despite the Communist regime), Greece, Turkey and Iran/Iraq/Syria can actually rival with Italy in terms of antiquities.
PS. I can't really speak for India so I left it out of the list.
When I was in the Navy I received orders to a ship that was stationed in Gaeta Italy. Even at that young age I knew of Italy's art, history, and great food. Most people know about Florence, Rome, and Venice for art, but even the smaller lesser known cities have beautiful buildings and artwork. The main church in Gaeta was one such example. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to visited such places. My favorite parts of Venice wasn't the canals, it was inside the Palace of the Doge, inside the churches, and inside the art museums. The food was simply fantastic, the country was beautiful, and the people were generally friendly. I wish I could return back to Italy and show my wife all those places but her health makes it virtually impossible even if we could afford the trip.

Unfortunately, this often gets overlooked, honestly i can't fathom how Spain manages to attract several more tourists to its beaches instead when Sardinian and Sicilian beaches as well as the whole Tyrrhenian coast (with the exception of the coast between Castellammare di Stabia and Civitavecchia) offer some of Europe's most lovely beaches
