Fact is, they remain higher than the native birthrates and they don't drop that quickly either, by the time they are more closer to native levels, the muslim population will have increased a lot and the constant influx of them streaming in from the ME and Africa just fuels this process even more.

And this can change, too. To predict demographics is one of the most difficult thing to do. In any case, the is no basis for these ridiculous"eurabia" claims. So I always hear about Europe and the "Muslim invasion", so to get some truth behind this can anyone tell me what the racial demographics of people under 5 are in Euopean countries (or something similar)? I've looked and I can't find anything, just thought this could be a good discussion and you guys could get some great info!
The figures are for legal residents I wonder if there are estimates on how many illegals in Portugal. According to this Portugal's immigrant population adds up to approximately 3% of the total population, roughly 30% Brazilians, 30% Africans, 30% Europeans, and all others add up to approx. 10% mostly(Pakistanis, East Indians, Chinese, and Americans). It doesn't mention Bangladeshi's at all but I know they live in Lisbon. The most accurate figures for Muslims in Portugal is an estimate of 55,000.
My impression from the newspapers and TV is that illegal immigration is not regarded as a big problem. In fact, I don't hear people ever talk about it.

According to the Wiki article Brazilians and the French were the only two populations that increased significantly from 2007-2011 I suspect most of those French are of Portuguese ancestry as most of the Americans are. With the current instability in Brazil I wouldn't be surprised if the Brazilian numbers continued to increase, in my opinion they are the most culturally compatible immigrant group in Portugal.

Just because I can't find the source doesn't mean I made that up completely, nor it means the info is false. Possibly the source had used different way to determine the culture of the immigrant. If the government considers one parent to make someone "local" but others don't this will make the % higher.
