Did I say that? No, I did not.

So why not state that here?

Because I made a simple statement that was not meant to be all encompassing. Get over yourself.

How can a tank top(that is exactly like any other tank top) cost 64 bucks? Some people are too pretentious for their own good, that they have to have some specific name attached to what they wear. But hey, a lot of successful companies are all about getting suckers to pay for something that is extremely overpriced, so kudos to them.

Oh trust me, sweetie, I can afford both.

Just because I can afford to spend $64 on a top that's going to get sweaty and stinky at the gym...doesn't mean I'm going to. I could afford to buy a Mercedes too, but I drive my paid-for 6 year-old Sonata instead.

We're not all about putting on airs.

As for your osteopenia (which for other people means she's at risk for osteoporosis due to a lowered BMD)...you spoke in generalities when what you really meant to say is "Well gee, MY doctor doesn't want ME to lift heavy because my bones aren't as dense as they should be."

That's not "some women". That's "women with a lower than normal bone density". Try being more specific next time and maybe people won't jump down your throat, because it sounded like you were painting with some pretty broad strokes there.

As for women with osteopenia not being able to weight train, that's baloney. Resistance training is recommended for osteopenia patients. YOU may be a special case, but again that doesn't mean all women are, or even a significant percentage are.

I don't really care what other people do with their money. Me, I'm happy with a $7 tank top from Target. Covers my girls and gets the job done.

Some people buy Lululemon clothes because they're pretentious a-holes. Some people buy them because they (rightly or wrongly) believe them to be of such superior quality that they are worth the high price. And some people buy them because they think they look cute in them.

Whatever motivates people to get off their butts and into the gym is fine by me. I don't really care. Just don't point fingers at me for wearing my Target gear. You don't know anything about me.

The high price requires that I had wash them. NO way!

No airs here. I was just pointing out a fact. All of my cars are paid for--we generally pay cash. What's your point?

And I'm not part of "some women"? At least 10% of the female population over the age of 45 has either osteopenia or osteoporosis--are they not "some women?"

There are plenty of other conditions where heavy lifting is contraindicated for SOME women.

I never said they can't weight train, in fact I said just the opposite. I said that light and medium lifting is recommended, but heavy lifting in contraindicated. Read next time before you try to put words into my mouth.
