It really sounds like you just don't like that particular instructor's style. My Zumba is at the Y - there are several different instructors, all different with their own styles. There is one older one who keeps it mid-tempo and mostly Latin dancing - all the older ladies love her. There is a younger guy who is very energetic, does hip-hop and fast paced latin dancing, there is another younger woman who pretty much likes very fast hip-hop. So instructors do vary a lot in style. Zumba can be a lot of fun and a great workout - just find an instructor and class that you feel comfortable with and give it a chance.

Totally agree with this. It's really about the instructor. There's so much variation in style, music choices, difficulty level, energy level, etc. Definitely shop around.
