Just got back into the gym while recovering from surgery. I am looking for a pair of gym shorts for men that have at least 3 pockets with 4 even better. I'm checking Google and Amazon and have yet to find them. Many don't even say whether they have pockets or not. Not looking for any kind of tight shorts but just regular shorts. Anyone?

If you can’t find what you are looking for, perhaps something like this might work.

I have several pairs of pants without any pockets and these are great for carrying my phone.

OP,

I have found that the Columbia Sport hiking shorts for women have plenty of stretch and are great for working out in the gym. They have something similar for men.

You might consider trying a pair - end of season and they are likely on sale right now.

Hylete shorts have two zippered pockets.

It would help us to know what kind of objects you want to carry in them.

Personally I think a running/utility style belt, not connected to the shorts, is always best because you carry stuff at the midsection.

I'd go for comfortable shorts and wear a fanny pack for phone/keys/wallet/ID. If you're actually exercising vigorously, as opposed to just walking, carrying lots of stuff in your pockets can be quite uncomfortable.

This is what I use to keep my phone on me. That way I'm not constantly touching it with my dirty gym-hands and also keep it out of my pockets to reduce it flopping around and risk it falling out.
