There’s people that never travel because they are too cheap to pay for a hotel. There’s people that feel motel 6 is fine. There’s others that value staying at the ritz Carlton. It’s like that for the gyms too. People say 200 is bonkers for a gym. The same people might not stay at a ritz Carlton for the experience because of finances. Same with eating at home versus McDonald’s and a high end restaurant.
It depends what they offer and what I am looking for.
If you are at the gym pretty much every day, the amenities are top notch, you shower there, steam room and what not, maybe a basketball team or whatever else you are into ... yes.
But if you don' go regularly and don't care much, no way.
I pay $110 for my MMA gym (that is a lot of money for me but is the cheapest around here and I love going there) and I pay $20 for 24 hour fitness. If I could have both in one place, I would pay up to $200 because I have no other costly hobby at the moment.
