I'm on 4th of July vacation and I'm a member of two gyms (one for my kids and youth sports , the YMCA and another nice gym where no kids are allowed , that is very nice with free wieghts, cardiovascular area, running track, raquetball, tennis courts, two baskeball courts, cycling and other classes.

I love the YMCA too, and have a domestic membership, so I can use any YMCA in the U.S. when traveling. I always go with my kids to the same YMCA and exercise when vacationing. Do other people do this, or do they forget about fitness when on vacation?

I typically don't bother exercising while on vacation.

I do but not at a gym. I love running through new areas I'm visiting.

I exercise on vacation. It's for everybody's protection as I am extremely cranky if I go without exercise for more than one day.

I was at the Hyatt in Tulsa this week. They have some of the same equipment that my PF has at home. I did go there most everyday during my convention. I feel like I need to do something rather than just sit around and then eat too much. Not my regular routine but at least trying to work off some of the food and get exercise.

I always bring workout stuff to Vegas but never make it lol. This time to NYC we are working out as it's a very different vibe than Vegas. Plus we're in the Marriott Marquis that has the gym overlooking times square!

Yes. My son, my wife, and I all work out.

We always make sure that any condo/hotel/etc.. has a gym. Sometimes high tourist areas will have gyms that allow you to purchase a weekly membership. We've done that too.

One snowy day in SD on vacation... (nothing to do)
I swam 240 laps at the community center.

That was nice.

I try to stop at Hot Springs pools for overnights, but I always try to get in my 72 lengths / day (1m) More if possible,

NZ and Australia have wonderful community centers with many swimming lap lanes (and big crowds using them)

Since we stay in guest homes, I often target Del Webb communities with large pools and now Pickle Ball.

Do lots of walking on vacations in Europe and Asia (trains, subway, buses)

Always and even on business trips I'll ensure I stay at a hotel with a decent fitness facility or near a gym that I can go and purchase a day pass.
